Return of the King

Good morrow, my friends! It is Thursday and I, your humble Squid, have brought to you a fresh Weekly Cheese for your mental consumption. Keyword being mental. Don’t try to eat your screen. Anyway, the team at large is in high spirits as we met this week, so let’s chat with them and see why!

The Details

  • Ryan

    • Created a custom build preparer option that automatically strips materials, textures, audio, and shaders for server builds.

    • Added to the 3rd Shift Dashboard to automate weapon graphic instantiation, WeaponDefinition -> Prefab injection.

    • Fixed Turning, Jumping, Landing, and Shooting animations (mostly).

    • Added all weapons from the Fusion 1 project.

    • Added Weapon terminals to Dev Map.

    • Fixed Skins not refreshing in game for clients.

    • Added a fucking flamethrower.

    • Added a new projectile system that used NetworkDataBuffer from Fusion 2.

    • Fixed reload animation and just discovered a weird bug where it only works 99% of the time F U C.

    • Fixed the above thing fr this time.

    • Added homing projectiles.

    • Coldbrew Counter = dude idk i just work here (14)

  • Bryan

    • Tier 3 'Map Junk' (City) has been selected! Which means that all 3 of the current maps officially have themed junk, all of which will break down into usable components.

    • Tier 2 component/weapon recipes are currently in progress. Also cooking with Mike on Tier 1 'Map Junk' model creation.

    • Changing Room to undergo renovations. Big ones.

  • Daniel

    • Got new designs for the changing room. Bryan is cooking some very interesting ideas for it (Y'all remember Mii Plaza?).

    • Also got new designs for arcade and airlock (I’m cooking).

    • Skin selector is working in new build (and it saves properly to the registry).

    • Rhythm Rally working again, as well as the leaderboard entries for it.

    • Possibly working on integrating cloud save back into new build.

    • Tried to go to my first concert for my birthday over the weekend. It got cancelled because the singer got "sick" right before (he was probably drunk). I'm definitely not salty about the 3 hour trip one way though. Promise.

  • Marc

    • Still rolling deep with the meme generation and social media presence.

  • Mike

    • Working with Bryan on turning the creative visions into reality.

  • BRUCE

    • He’s back!!! (Sorta) Bruce has reemerged from the fires of industry and will be slowly getting back into things in afflicted land. Welcome home, brother o7

  • Cole

    • Wrote two audio logs for the team to ruminate on

    • Fleshed out some additional icons for crafting materials and quests

In Closing

You read that right - Bruce is back! We’re churning and burning now that Ryan has mostly completed the conversion of the project from Fusion 1 -> 2, which means that internal playtesting of features and developing new ones will resume shortly. Things are exciting around here, that’s for sure. Stay cool out there folks, summer is just heating up!
